Meet the Photographer
I AM francesca DEA
My relationship with photography began long before my professional life. Long before architecture school and work as an interior designer. I first picked up a camera in high school. It was a birthday gift from my dad, and that simple moment quietly shaped the way I learned to observe and hold onto the world around me.
Over the past decade of living abroad, photography became my companion. A way of holding onto what matters most; the people I’ve met, the places I’ve lived, and the experiences that shaped me along the way. It became a way of slowing down and connecting more deeply.
As my practice evolved, photography became inseparable from how I understand design. It continues to inform how I frame spaces, people, and moments. Guided by light, proportion, and atmosphere rather than perfection.
Today, my work ranges between people and lifestyle, artist portraits, and interior & architecture. Whatever the subject, the intention remains the same: to observe, to connect, and to tell stories that feel genuine and meaningful.
